AAMIA Attends "Conversation Between Congress & Clergy"

WASHINGTON, DC - On Tuesday, September 20th AAMIA Chair Rev. Tim McDonald attended a dialogue between African American clergy and key members of congress including Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama at the U.S. Capitol. The exchange focused on the federal judiciary, federal budget and moving American forward in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The goal of the exchange, led by key House and Senate Democrats was to create a partnership to address the needs of the victims of Katrina and to reconcile federal budget priorities with the needs of vulnerable Americans.
