AAMIA Vice-Chair attends Supreme Court Lobby Day

WASHINGTON, DC - AAMIA Vice Chair – Rev. Robert Shine, participating in a lobby day sponsored by the National Coalition For a Fair and Independent Judiciary met with members of Sen. Arlen Specter’s office to voice displeasure over the nomination of John Roberts to the Supreme Court. Rev. Shine and several other key Pennsylvania leaders urged Sen. Specter to recognize the importance of the upcoming associate justice appointment to replace Justice O’Connor, and proceed with thoughtfulness and deliberation to ensure the next nominee is committed to protecting the freedoms of every American.
